Two
policemen from the Namphatka outpost in Kutkai went missing on Monday as they
returned from justice court, according to the Office of the Commander-in-Chief
of Defence Services.
The
absence of police sub-inspector Myint Aye and police corporal Lin Htet was
discovered when government troops found their car, a Honda Fit, on Monday. The
police officers were returning to their outpost after transporting two suspects
to the Kutkai Court of Justice, it is learnt.
The
car was found with two weapons inside, according to defense services.
Investigations
are being made to find the two policemen and discover the circumstances of
their disappearance. Authorities said government troops will continue to
conduct area clearance operations.
