During her goodwill visit in Japan,
State Counsellor Daw Aung San Su kyi received the Honorary Doctorate in Tokyo
University on Thursday.
She then hosted a dialogue with 8 students, including
ones from Myanmar who are now studying at the University, about democracy,
right to freedom and human rights. Later, she met with Myanmar scholars who are
studying at Tokyo University and other niversities. The State Counsellor headed
to Kyoto from Tokyo with Shinkansen train. While in Kyoto, the State Counsellor
will attend and honorary dinner hosted by the Kyoto Chamber of Commerce and
Industry.
