At
the regional command headquarters of Sittwe, Rakhine State a fire burnt an
ammunition dump stored in the arsenal this morning at 11:55, extinguished by
Tatmatawmen and members of the township fire brigade. The fire was put out at
1:10 pm or so.
The
fire destroyed the left hand side of the arsenal and its contents—some of the
ammunition.
The
fire did not spread to the western part of the room with no one injured, it is
learnt.
According
to the preliminary enquiry of the case, the cause of fire may be the chemical reaction.
The enquiry committee consists of experts, who will find out as to whether it
was linked with terrorists.
