MYANMAR and Egypt held talks at Egypt’s Agricultural Research Centre (ARC) in Giza to advance bilateral cooperation aimed at improving Myanmar’s cotton production and strengthening the country’s agricultural sector, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The
high-level meeting brought together the Myanmar ambassador to Egypt, the head
of International Relations at the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture and Land
Reclamation, and the president of Egypt’s Agricultural Research Centre.
“Both
sides discussed cooperation to boost cotton yields and explored broader
opportunities for partnership across the agricultural sector.
The
two sides also reviewed the 2025 Myanmar-Egypt Memorandum of Understanding on
agricultural cooperation, aiming to translate its strategic commitments into
practical action.
