AMYOTHA Hluttaw Speaker U Aung Lin Dwe received UN Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator ad interim Ms Gwyn Lewis at the Amyotha Hluttaw meeting room in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.
They discussed cooperation between the Amyotha Hluttaw and the UN in accordance with existing laws and procedures to ensure the effective delivery of humanitarian assistance to the people. They also discussed prospects for achieving positive outcomes for the people through constructive cooperation with UN agencies, as well as ways to strengthen mutual understanding and cooperation.
Amyotha Hluttaw Deputy Speaker Jeng Phang Naw Taung, representatives from the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office in Yangon and officials from the Amyotha Hluttaw Office also attended the meeting.
