Myanmar, China to further cement diplomatic relations, friendly ties



VICE-PRESIDENT of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, U Nyo Saw, received Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar, Ms Ma Jia, at the Presidential Palace Reception Hall in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.

At the meeting, they cordially discussed the further strengthening of existing diplomatic relations and friendly ties between Myanmar and China, and the further promotion of trade and investment sectors, including the cooperation projects to be implemented by both countries.

Moreover, they frankly exchanged views on the peace and stability in border regions, the implementation of the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor plan, and the efforts to combat online fraud and eradicate narcotic drugs as the national responsibility.

Also, present at the meeting were Deputy Ministers U Khin Latt and U Naing Min Kyaw, and officials. The Chinese Ambassador was accompanied by officials.
