Hluttaw Upholds Rule of Law for Public Protection



As the Hluttaw, representing the people, will raise questions and submit proposals to be able to effectively address the desires of the people, those people can openly present their difficulties and requirements, said U Khin Yi, Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw, at the meeting with town elders, businesspersons and social organization members at the city hall in Magway yesterday morning.

Speaking on the occasion, the Speaker said that his tour aims to coordinate the measures on employment opportunities and regional development of the residents through the Hluttaw platform to march towards the second page of the State together with the government, the Hluttaw and political parties.

He continued that Hluttaws have to primarily serve the legislative duties for the people to live in peace and safety under the legal protection by amending, supplementing and enacting laws to improve the socioeconomic lives of the people.

Moreover, he added that priority will be given to scrutinizing the existing laws to ensure they are beneficial for safety and strong law enforcement for the people.

In his clarification on the current situation, the Speaker unveiled that efforts will be made to enact the Anti-Online Scam Bill suited for the current state of the country in the coming Hluttaw sessions.

Moreover, he noted that it is necessary to review the laws related to investments with amendments and supplements.

The speaker invited businesspersons, social organization members and town elders to present necessary suggestions on employment opportunities and regional development to the Hluttaw sessions to carry out legislative measures.

The attendees submitted reports on regional development, peace and stability, and MSME development. The Speaker explained that the submissions are recorded to be implemented with the relevant departments.

The meeting was also attended by Magway Region Chief Minister U Tin Ko Ko, Magway Region Hluttaw Speaker Dr Maung Maung Htay and officials.
