AN on-duty team seized two kinds of goods, including 17,582.4 kilogrammes of mass motor engine oil that were different from the Import Declaration (ID) worth K128.08 million from a container on 2 May and two kinds of goods, including 102.5 kg of display stand, worth K1,678,343 that were submitted to waive by owner for Import Licence needs from a container on 4 May at the Asia World Port Terminal container checkpoint. The action was taken under Customs procedures.
On 3 May, a combined team led by Dawei Myoma Police Station conducted a patrol inspection and captured 12,000 kg of Thai-made Tiger fertilizer worth K21.6 million without official documents from a Nissan Condor truck (approximately K20 million) at a bus station compound in Dawei township. The action was taken under Customs procedures.
In addition, an on-duty team at the Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint confiscated 7,500 Lippo bottles worth K2.7 million without official documents from a Higer bus (estimated value of K18 million) heading to Yangon from Myawady. The action was taken under Customs procedures.
Therefore, six arrests (estimated value of K192,058,343) were made on three consecutive days from 2 to 4 May, according to the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee.
