Union Minister for Information meets with Presidential Communications Operations Secretary from Philippines

Dr Pe Myint, Union Minister for Information, met with Mr Jose Ruperto Martin Marfori Andanar, Secretary of Presidential Communications Operations Office of the Philippines, a member of the delegation led by H.E Mr Rodrigo Rao Duterte, the President of the Philippines, at the hall of the Ministry of Information yesterday morning.

In the meeting, there were cordial discussions concerning the implementation of a MoU in the information sector between the Ministry of Information and the Philippines signed in 2013, performances of reformation of the information sector of the Philippines, bilateral cooperation in the sectors of print media, broadcast media and online media. In addition, an invitation was made by the Philippines for responsible officials of the Ministry of Information to attend the ASEAN meeting to be held in the Philippines and to observe the image of the Philippines and broadcasting media. And matters on exchange of holding workshops on the information sector were discussed.

Present at the meeting were Director-General of MRTV, Director-General of Information and Public Relations Department, Managing Director of the News and Periodicals Enterprise and deputy permanent secretary.
