Rakhine
State Chief Minister U Nyi Pu and state cabinet members received First
Secretary Mr. Yusuke Matsuoka, Embassy of Japan in Yangon and party yesterday
afternoon at the chief minister’s hall in State Government Office.
In
the meeting, Mr. Yusuke Matsuoka discussed the status of providing aid for
schools, buildings, electricity and transportation requirements and spoke about
participating in programmes to be continued for Rakhine State development
either directly through the government or via international organisations. The
State Chief Minister and state ministers in return discussed Rakhine State
development works.
Eighty
schools are planned to be built with the aid of Japan. Sixteen schools have
already been built.
