Deputy Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation Dr Thaung Naing Oo inspected nurseries and forest plantations in Minbu Township, Magway Region on 23 May.
During his visit to Kanyay Nursery and Shwetapin Permanent
Nursery, the Deputy Minister observed the thriving rate of saplings and land
preparation for upcoming monsoon tree-planting activities.
He met local residents in Ywathaya Village, Minbu Township,
where he discussed environmental conservation efforts and the benefits of
forest resources. He donated energy-efficient stoves, environmental
conservation books for the village high school library, and copies of monthly
Forest Mirror journal. He also inspected forest plantations in Magway Township.
