Camp, ammunitions of Assam, Kathe insurgents captured by Tatmadaw


ACTING on a tip-off that some Assam and Kathe insurgents are moving as NSCN (K) at NSCN (K) camp and environ near Takar Village of the Naga Self Administered Zone in Sagaing Region, the Tamadaw troops carried out proper security measures in those areas as from 29 January and captured the camps used by the insurgents as base.

While conducting the security measures in the areas, the Tatmadaw security force seized 15 different types of guns, ammunitions and its accessories in the ravine that is about 1600 meters away from the western part of Takar Village of on 4 February 2019.
Similarly, the Tatmadaw security force seized 80 kinds of bullet caskets together with other accessories at the same area on 5th February, 2019.
Besides, the troops also captured another camp at 1600 meters away from the western part of Takar Village.
To prevent infiltration of insurgents into the Naga Self-Administered Zone and to provide the security and stability in the region, the Tatmadaw columns continue to carry out security measures in the areas, according to the news released by the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services.
