The Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and delegation attended the Flavours of Sri Lanka 2025 event at Pan Pacific Hotel, Yangon, hosted by the Sri Lanka Embassy to Myanmar.
The ceremony
featured a traditional lamp-lighting by the Yangon Region Chief Minister,
regional ministers, Sri Lankan Ambassador Mrs Prabashini Ponnamperuma, and
Indian Ambassador Mr Abhay Thakur. A two-minute prayer was held for Sri Lankan
communities affected by natural disasters.
Ambassador
Mrs Prabashini Ponnamperuma extended greetings, followed by cultural
performances showcasing Sri Lanka’s heritage. Guests, including the Yangon
Region Chief Minister enjoyed traditional Sri Lankan cuisine demonstrations
presented via video.
