Transport and Communications Minister visits Border Control Facilities in Myawady

UNION Minister for Transport and Communications U Thant Sin Maung visited Myawady, the border town with Thailand,
in Kayin State on 5 October morning to meet the personnel from government and trade bodies who will perform duties at the Border Control Facilities.
During the visit, he was accompanied by U Saw Pyi Thar, the Minister for Environmental Conservation, Forest, Mine, Roads and Transport of the State’s government and officials.
At the meeting, the officials briefed on the tasks of relevant departments, charges for border crossing and infrastructural development plan. The traders also discussed the possible procedures at the facilities. On 6 October morning, the Union Minister and party held a meeting with the Mon State’s Amyotha Hluttaw representative, the State Hluttaw representative, the Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation and officials from the Directorate of Water Resources and Improvement of River Systems.
At the meeting, the officials discussed prevention of flooding, easy flow of water and future plans near Belin river.
