Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Ye Aung received British Ambassador Mr
Daniel Patrick Chugg at his office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
During
the meeting, they discussed and exchanged views on peace, stability and
development in border areas, implementing ethnic people’s socio-economic
sustainable development, supplying food and low cost housing for the people in
conflict areas, peace, stability and development in Rakhine State and work on
closing the IDP camps, repatriation and resettlement of returnees, implementing
substitution agriculture and development tasks as substitute for eradication of
narcotic drugs, cooperation with United Nations agencies and international
non-governmental organizations, the result of cooperation in education between
Britain and Department of Education and Training under the Ministry of Border
Affairs, and future cooperation.
