MS Azamara Quest docks in Yangon with 600 passengers

BETWEEN January and April 2018, seven cruise ships from the US, two from Germany, one from Britain, and two from Japan laid anchor in Yangon Port.

This season’s second luxury cruise ship, MS Azamara Quest, from Azamara Club Cruises operated by US-based Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., arrived in Yangon on 18 November.

The ship arrived in the night under the supervision of the Myanma Port Authority, under the Ministry of Transport and Communications, and with the support of the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism.

The ship arrived under an arrangement with the Myanmar Voyages Company. The ship has 608 passengers and 391 crew members onboard. It started from Hambantota Port in Sri Lanka and will continue to Phuket Beach in Thailand on 21 November.

While the ship is docked in Yangon, its passengers will visit Bagan and Inle regions, Thanlyin-Kyauk Tan, Bago Township, and tour Yangon City. The MS Azamara Quest is the 125th ship handled by the Myanmar Voyages Company.
