State Counsellor encourages Mixed Martial Arts contestant Aung La N Sang representing Myanmar

Mixed Martial Arts contestant Aung La N Sang who represented Myanmar made a courtesy call on the State Counsellor at the State Counsellor’s residence in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon together with his sparring partner Mr. Nchukwi Tafon Ndi, a US citizen and manager U Phone Kyaw Moe Myint (Vice Chairman, Myanmar Yachting Federation). The Union Minister for Health and Sports accompanied Aung La N Sang and party in their courtesy call on the State Counsellor.

The State Counsellor told Aung La N Sang that she was happy that a former Myanmar national came to pay respects to her. She as well as all Myanmar nationals would be praying for Aung La N Sang’s victory in the One Championship match on 3 November 2017 and believed that he would be successful. On his part, Aung La N Sang explained about how he became a select sportsman in stages after putting in effort since his youth. The State Counsellor commented that in whatever area success can be achieved if an effort is made. Success may not be achieved at one go but if difficulties are overcome in stages with diligent effort it will definitely be achieved, added the State Counsellor.
Aung La N Sang and his sparring partner arrived in Myanmar yesterday morning to make a courtesy call on the State Counsellor and will return to the United States in the evening. Officials from the Ministry of Health and Sports gave Aung La N Sang and party a guided tour to Nay Pyi Taw sports museum and sports complex including Wunna Theikdi Sports Stadium.
