Rakhine gov’t provides food in Maungtaw

The Rakhine government provided food to villagers from Maungtaw Township on 15 and 16 January, it is learnt.

Rakhine State Electric Power and Road Transportation Minister U Aung Kyaw Zan and Rakhine State development affairs minister U Min Aung provided 32 bags of rice, 40 viss of cooking oil, and 400 packs of instant noodles to 96 households from Taung Pyo Let Wae town, 49.3 bags of rice, 74 viss of cooking oil and 740 packs of instant noodles to 148 households from Thinbaw Hla and Tharyargone villagers and 20 bags of rice, 30.50 viss of cooking oil and 315 packs of instant noodles to 63 houses from Htarein village.
Similarly, the ministers provided 162.34 bags of rice, 243.5 viss of cooking oil and 2,435 packs of instant noodles to the 487 households in three other villages. The ministers later inspected the hydropower plant and a rural housing construction site, it is learnt.
